Life is the most precious thing on earth. It’s only given once and making the most of it is an obligation each person should have towards themselves. Give yourself permission to enjoy life’s benefits and luxuries. Appreciate and indulge in happiness every opportunity you get and seek creative ways to live your life to the fullest!
Here are a few ways to start enjoying your life today:
1. Don’t Procrastinate
How many times a day do you say “Oh, I’ll do that tomorrow”? Well, what you should actually be saying is “Oh, I’ll do that right away”. Getting things done sooner rather than later helps you live in the moment. I’m not saying add more to your already hefty to do list. What I am saying is smile now. Play now. Laugh now. Go on that date. Plan that trip. Living in the moment will help you make the most of your life. Leave procrastination far behind and start doing things right away.
2. Help your Community
Be a relentless spreader of good! Do activities such as serving in church, assisting the elderly, or cleaning the park. It doesn’t take a grandiose event in order to do something good in the world around you. The process of serving others is a gift, for you! Generosity breeds appreciation. Pouring your heart and soul out to meet the needs of the world around you fills your soul unlike any other act. In fact, the feelings serving bring can be indescribable. What is a small thing to you is major for someone else. Whenever you decide to do something, do it with all your heart and soul. The last thing you want in your one and only life is to regret what you could have done, and there is no time like the present.
3. Make every Moment Memorable
Enjoying each moment, at that very moment, is priceless, no matter how you feel. Be conscious of the value that exist in the present of your presence. So much is missed with your face hidden behind a phone or computer screen. Get in the picture, or better yet enjoy a moment and create memories. Life becomes more valuable when you really cherish each breath you take in this world. Also, be grateful as this can quickly change how you view your circumstances. Life is gift so do yourself a favor by enjoying yourself at every opportunity. Be grateful for the life God has given you and you’ll feel a million times better than you felt yesterday.
4. Help someone in need
Make a meal for the new mom. Pack a lunch for an under privileged child. Helping people in need is acting human; it is a primary goal of humanity. It is a worthy goal to include in your personal life if you want to enjoy the present moment and live your life to the fullest. Help people whenever you have the chance and you will make the most of the life you are living.
5. Do more things that bring you joy
Those activities that truly give you happiness are the best. Go out, or stay in, and do them! Whether it is going to a friend’s house, visiting the park, listening to good music, dancing, horseback riding or fishing, just do it. Find the things that bring you true joy and happiness and do them as often as possible.
